Record-Breaking Month for San Antonio Housing Market

According to data recently released by the San Antonio Board of Realtors (SABOR), the month of June 2012 saw record-breaking housing prices (both average and median), and the highest sales volume since June of 2008. This represents a 4 percent increase in volume compared to June of last year. The median price of a single-family home increased 8 percent from $156,500 to $168,800, while the average price increased 9 percent from $192,514 to $209,820. San Antonio’s healthy economy, job growth and affordable housing are just some of the many reasons that this is a great place to live, work and enjoy life.

Our office just celebrated its 33rd year in business serving the real estate needs for individuals and families in San Antonio and the surrounding area. The month of June was also a great one for us, with closed transactions up more than 16 percent from June of last year, double the average increase for all real estate offices in SABOR. If you are planning to buy or sell a home in the area, or if you just want more information about things to do in San Antonio, give me a call or e-mail me and I will put you in touch with one of my experienced agents.
